Accommodation
Life at Alpengirl is rooted in outdoor living and connection with nature. Nights are spent camping in tents in beautiful wilderness settings. Campers learn self-sufficiency, teamwork, and resilience while experiencing the joy and simplicity of life outside.
Meals
Meals at Alpengirl are designed to fuel adventure while bringing the group together. Campers actively participate in preparing wholesome meals and snacks, learning outdoor cooking skills and shared responsibility along the way. Dietary considerations and food accommodations are thoughtfully supported to help every participant feel healthy, included, and cared for throughout their adventure.
Medicine
Participant health and wellbeing are a top priority. Alpenguides are trained in Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Response, and trips are supported by detailed health protocols and emergency planning. Medications are securely managed according to camper needs, and Alpengirl partners with medical and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive support throughout each trip.
Security
Safety is woven into every aspect of the Alpengirl experience. Guides undergo extensive screening, background checks, and rigorous training to create a physically and emotionally supportive environment. Small group sizes, experienced leadership, proactive risk management, and adaptable itineraries allow campers to confidently explore the outdoors while feeling safe, supported, and empowered.
Camp Traditions
Alpengirl traditions celebrate adventure, friendship, and joy in the outdoors. From campfire storytelling and roadside dance parties to group games in the AlpenOlympics, reflection circles for 9:15pm activity, and spontaneous moments of laughter on the trail, traditions help create the close-knit community that defines the Alpengirl experience. At the beginning of each session, campers get to pick a wilderness skill they want to master and by the end they get to show what they've learned to gain a skill bead on their necklace. Campers can learn skills like water purification, camp cooking, backpacking, and culture/language. These shared rituals foster confidence, connection, and memories that last long after the adventure ends.
