At this vibrant summer escape, the spotlight belongs to the kids—and not just figuratively. Young performers get their chance to shine, move, speak, and sing their hearts out in a week-long journey that blends creativity with confidence-building. From the moment camp begins, there’s a hum of energy in the air—lines being learned, characters coming to life, and friendships forming in dressing rooms and rehearsal halls. Children aged 8 to 14 work together to write, stage, and perform an original show by week’s end. For the younger crowd, ages 5 to 7, the experience centers on bringing a beloved classic story to life through music and movement. Both age groups enjoy the perks of small class sizes, meaning no one fades into the background. Every camper is seen, heard, and supported. The program stretches from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.—enough time for serious stage play and plenty of laughter in between. A TLAC camp t-shirt and a professionally produced performance DVD cap off the experience, giving families a keepsake of the summer their child found their voice—sometimes literally. Behind it all is a seasoned creative team with deep local roots and a passion for performance. The emphasis isn’t on perfection but on ensemble work, projection, diction, and stepping into someone else’s shoes—sometimes glittery ones. A camp like this doesn’t just put kids on stage—it helps them find the courage to stay there.
