artSPARK Summer Camps in Arvada are creative art camps for preschoolers through 8th graders. The program is studio-based, which means campers work in an art-making environment designed for exploration, not just quick craft activities. Summer camp options include Pre+K Camp, 1st–8th Camp, and Summer Clubs for half-day skill development.
The camp is built around process, experimentation, and problem-solving. Campers use a wide range of supplies, including brushes, paints, clay, collage materials, and other 2D and 3D art tools. Instead of giving every child the same project with the same expected result, artSPARK gives invitations, demonstrations, creative prompts, and individual project support. Kids can explore materials, develop ideas, revise their work, and build projects over time.
This camp will likely interest children who enjoy hands-on making, sensory activities, open studio time, and creative freedom. Preschool and kindergarten campers get a program tailored for younger makers, while 1st–8th-grade campers can work with greater independence and pursue deeper project development.
The atmosphere is supportive and playful, but still purposeful. artSPARK uses the Studio Thinking framework, helping children practice planning, observing, reflecting, problem-solving, caring for materials, and thinking like artists.

artSPARK Summer Camps are studio-based day camps. Campers attend their registered session at the Arvada studio and then return home. The program does not operate as a sleepaway camp, and the camp materials center on in-studio art experiences rather than residential services.
Summer camps are offered weekly throughout the summer. Sessions are grouped by age range, with separate options for Pre-K campers and 1st–8th-grade campers. Summer Clubs are half-day sessions focused on skill development.
The camp format is best for families seeking a local, creative day program rather than a travel or overnight camp. Children spend their camp time in the studio, working with materials, trying techniques, exploring ideas, and developing projects under the instructor's guidance.
Families should carefully review the selected camp session during registration because artSPARK follows age requirements for each offering and maintains those requirements for siblings and friends.
artSPARK is a safe and nurturing environment for children and teens. Camp sessions are grouped by age range so activities stay appropriate for the participants. The studio also follows specific age requirements for each offering and does not make exceptions for siblings or friends outside those criteria.
The camp uses experienced instructors and a structured studio environment. Campers work with art materials, tools, glue, paints, and group activities, so the studio’s waiver recognizes the normal risks that come with hands-on creative work. Children also learn studio habits such as caring for tools and materials, setting up a workspace, and using materials responsibly.
artSPARK’s waiver includes permission for a child to receive medical treatment if the child is injured or needs medical attention during participation. Parents or guardians remain responsible for the costs of medical treatment, transportation, or evacuation.
The camp environment includes materials such as glue, paints, sharp objects, and other art supplies. Children with allergies, sensitivities, or specific medical needs should be prepared before attending and should use the registration or communication process to share relevant information.
artSPARK Summer Camps focus on creative exploration rather than one fixed project for everyone. Campers work with 2D and 3D materials, explore demonstrations, receive creative prompts, and get individual support as they build ideas over time. The program encourages children to plan, test, revise, and keep going when a project gets tricky. This makes the camp a good fit for young artists who enjoy both guided inspiration and personal creative choice.
Full camp tuition is due upfront.
A 5% sibling discount is available on most offerings when enrolling another child in the same course during the same transaction.
