Accommodation and Meals

Accommodation

Aspen Camp offers rustic yet comfortable cabin-style accommodations on our 17-acre campus along Snowmass Creek. Cabins are shared and designed to foster community and connection. Staff cabins and accessible facilities are available as needed. Campers bring their own bedding (sleeping bag, pillow, blankets), and all housing supports a fully accessible signing environment.

Meals

Nutritious, well-balanced meals are prepared on-site in our commercial kitchen. We accommodate dietary needs and restrictions whenever possible, including allergies, vegetarian and semi-vegan diets. Meals are served family-style to encourage connection and community, with snacks provided throughout the day during programs and activities.

Medicine

All medications are securely stored and managed by designated trained staff or medical personnel. Campers and families provide detailed medication instructions prior to arrival. Medications are administered according to provided guidelines, and emergency medical protocols are in place if additional care is needed.

Security

Camper safety is a top priority at Aspen Camp. The campus is monitored by trained staff, clear supervision protocols, and established check-in/check-out procedures. Emergency action plans, communication systems, and partnerships with local emergency services help ensure a safe and supportive environment at all times.

Camp Traditions

Aspen Camp traditions center on community, connection, and shared experiences. These include opening and closing circles, campfire gatherings, group games, storytelling, celebrations, and moments of reflection in nature. Traditions are inclusive, visual, and rooted in Deaf culture and shared values.

    The Aspen Camp campus includes cabins, a main lodge, dining hall, commercial kitchen, bathhouse, indoor climbing wall, low- and high-ropes courses, open fields, trails, and direct access to Snowmass Creek. Facilities are continuously improved to support accessibility, safety, and immersive outdoor programming.
