ASU - Game Camp Middle School

For middle schoolers who dream of creating their own video games, ASU’s Game Camp offers an extraordinary opportunity to turn imagination into reality. Hosted by the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, this hands-on program is designed to teach the ins and outs of video game creation, visualization, and production. It’s a perfect blend of creativity, technology, and fun. Campers will dive into the world of game design using cutting-edge tools and software. From crafting concepts and designing characters to building 2D and 3D prototypes, every step of the game development process is covered. The camp provides access to state-of-the-art hardware, including high-spec computers equipped with NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, ensuring students work with industry-standard equipment. With a low student-to-instructor ratio—one professor and one teaching assistant for every ten students—each participant receives focused guidance and support. 

Professor Kobayashi, a seasoned expert in computer graphics and game development, leads the program, making this an enriching experience for aspiring game designers.
