Boy Scouts Of America Katahdin Area Council Camp

Boy Scouts Of America Katahdin Area Council Camp

Orono, ME, USA

Overview

As the summer sun begins to shine, thoughts turn to the idyllic days at Camp Roosevelt, under the auspices of the Boy Scouts of America Katahdin Area Council. This haven of adventure is the perfect backdrop for boys to explore their potential, with its recent additions offering the thrill of the new - from a spruced-up athletic field to a dining lodge that doubles as a mountaineer's delight with its indoor climbing wall. On this camp, boys can dive into a sea of activities, with the shimmering joy of soccer games on the verdant field or the adrenaline rush of conquering the climbing wall in the Dining Hall. The camp is not just a playground, it's a classroom under the open sky, where merit badges await those who master the arts of swimming, handicrafts, camping skills, archery, rifle, nature, and cooking. For young novices, the New Scout program acts as a compass, guiding them through the wilderness of camping skills, while the older scouts are offered a slice of adventure with the opportunity to partake in COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience). So, it's time to pack up those bags, lace those boots, and tell your Scoutmaster and parents that you're ready to embrace the sunny days at Camp Roosevelt. Its inviting blend of fun and adventure is just the ticket for an unforgettable summer.
