Venture into the delightful world of Camp Bernadette, fondly known as Camp Bernie. Established in 1953, this haven for girls was conceived as a sister camp to Fatima. Although it is a creation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester, NH, the camp embraces girls from all faiths, fostering an inclusive and caring atmosphere. Camp Bernie's mission is simple yet profound: to cultivate a nurturing community where every girl can find her place, explore new activities, and create lifelong memories. The camp is nestled in the picturesque settings of Lake Wentworth in Wolfeboro, NH, just a stone's throw away from the majestic White Mountain Region. Here, a world of adventure awaits young explorers. With the capacity to host 270 girls in 21 cozy cabins, there's plenty of room for fun, friendship, and discovery. From engaging camp-wide events to intimate gatherings with peers, your little one will be immersed in an environment that encourages growth and self-exploration. The campers are thoughtfully grouped based on age: the Juniors (ages 6-10), the Intermediates (ages 11 & 12), and the Seniors (ages 13-15). The camp sessions typically span two weeks, with a special starter week session designed for young campers between 5-9 years old. For the older campers, there's Club 15, and a Counselor-in-Training program, offering a wholesome journey that's carefully crafted for each age group.
