Our week-long summer camp is for kids between the ages of 7-16 with heart defects.
The only camp of its kind in Louisiana, we offer a safe and fun environment for “cardiac campers” to participate in a range of activities under the supervision of our full time 24/7 nursing staff.
Kids will unplug, connect with others, and build camaraderie in this “home away from home”. With opportunities for canoeing, swimming, sports, art, archery, games, lots of all round fun and teambuilding to help them grow their personal development skills.
Camp Bon Coeur Summer Camp experience builds lifelong friendships and lasting memories!
Lodging is bunk-style (air conditioned) rooms with a common area, infirmary, and communal restrooms in one building. Bunk rooms (or “cabins”) are separated by age and gender, with a counselor assigned to each.
To register for camp, complete and submit the application along with application fee and a member of our staff will contact you for more information.
Camp is free to attend for first year heart kids. Space is limited to 60 campers. Families are welcome to participate in our fundraisers to help offset costs for returning campers.
Camper Drop Off: May 28, 2026 between noon and six pm. Campers will not be allowed to be dropped off before noon.
Camp Pick Up: June 4, 2026 by noon.
