Nestled in the heart of Wayland, Camp Chickami offers an experience that goes beyond your typical summer camp. It's more than just a place for children to pass the time; it's a veritable playground for exploration and growth. Catering to the vivid imaginations of young minds, our camp combines general sports and academics, providing a well-rounded experience that caters to every child's interests. The camp staff is a lively mix of creativity and enthusiasm, ensuring kids make lifelong memories while learning new things and honing their skills. From engaging sports activities to intriguing nature exploration, and even offbeat games, there's never a dull moment at Camp Chickami. We believe in the magic of a well-spent summer, and we deliver it in spades. For budding leaders on the cusp of their teenage years, we offer the Leaders-in-Training Program. This program focuses on developing leadership qualities, decision-making skills, peer relations, and community service activities. It's not just a summer stint; it's a stepping stone towards their future. The Junior Leaders Program is another unique feature of Camp Chickami. This program is designed for those who have completed our LIT program but are not yet old enough to be Junior Counselors. These young leaders get the chance to shadow counselors or administrators, getting a taste of responsibility while enjoying all the camp activities. We firmly believe that every child should experience the joys of summer camp, which is why we offer partial camp scholarships. Funded by our annual Partners with Youth campaign, these scholarships are an embodiment of our commitment to provide every child with an unforgettable summer.
