The camp is a haven where these young fighters can step away from the trials of treatment and simply be kids again. Camp Rising Sun's mission is not solely defined by the traditional fun and games of a summer camp. Here, the focus is on empowering each child to develop self-confidence, hone existing talents, and uncover new ones, all while engaging in a plethora of general sports activities. These big-hearted individuals devote their time, love, and energy to create a memorable experience for the campers. Beyond the fun and games, a pediatric oncologist and a team of three nurses are available round-the-clock to tend to any medical needs, ensuring parents can rest easy while their children enjoy the camp. From its humble beginnings with just 8 campers, Camp Rising Sun recently celebrated its 20th season with a record 100 children enrolling for a week of fun and friendship.
