Camp Tuttle

Brighton, UT, USA

Overview

In the whispering wilderness of Utah, embracing the serenity of Big Cottonwood Canyon, resides Camp Tuttle, a sanctuary for vivacious kiddie explorers. Set up under the benevolent ethos of The Episcopal Diocese of Utah in 1958, this not-for-profit institution has been home to heartwarming summer memories for more than 500 adventurous souls every year. And what a better setting could one wish for? Imagine your tots waking up in a heavenly glacial bowl, serenaded by symphonies of glassy lakes. Picture them scuttling across rapids of pebble-bottomed rivulets, shadows of tall, broad-beamed virgin timber dancing in their footsteps. All this within a sanctuary clad in a riot of wildflowers, more than you can count, each more resplendent than the last. Partaking in the spirit of adventure and camaraderie, the camp offers activities aplenty. From wrestling with the giant 50ft rock wall for the daring to tackling various challenge courses for the enthusiastic, there's something for every heart's whim. With 42 miles of hiking trails begging to be explored, plenty of adventures await under the wide-open skies. Yet, amidst all the thrill, the camp balances the excitement with comfort. The historic campus spans a spectrum between rough-and-tumble and coziness by providing meeting and lodging facilities catering to nearly 100 guests. At Camp Tuttle, not only do the young ones get to rejoice in the heart of nature, but they also have a safe and comfortable space to lay their heads at the end of the day, recapping the day's exploits. So, pack those tiny rucksacks and trusty hiking boots. Promising more than just the sights, Camp Tuttle is all set to create everlasting childhood memories. After all, isn’t that what a perfect family vacation is about?
