Founded at the turn of the millennium by Bruce and Cindy Feller, Cumberland Mountain Outreach has evolved far beyond its humble beginnings as a daytime retreat. Its mission, rooted in compassion and service, has blossomed into a year-round commitment to the underprivileged families of Appalachia. From the first blush of spring to the winter’s first snowfall, the camp offers a helping hand, whether it's a warm meal, a bundle of clothing, essential household items, or much-needed home repairs. Yet, the centerpiece of their endeavors remains the Kid's Day Camp, a vibrant, bustling oasis where children can escape their daily struggles, if only for a while, and simply enjoy being kids. The holidays, too, are imbued with a special touch of magic at Cumberland Mountain Outreach.
