Dynasty Dance Co Summer Camp is a creative day camp program in San Diego for children ages 4 and up. The camp lineup includes five main options: Dance Camp, STEM Camp, Visual Arts Camp, Musical Theater Camp, and Leadership in Training Camp for teens ages 13 and older. Families can choose full-week enrollment or single-day camp days across a 12-week summer season.
The atmosphere is creative, active, and theme-driven. Each week has its own summer theme, such as Luau Aloha, Disney Magic, Wild West, Under the Big Top, Space Quest, Pop Star Party, Superheroes Assemble, Under the Sea, Witches & Wizards, Wild Explorers, Detective Academy, and Inventors Lab. That rotating structure helps each week feel different for returning campers.
Dance Camp welcomes all skill levels and introduces styles such as hip-hop, ballet, folkloric, contemporary, jazz, and more. STEM Camp focuses on hands-on experiments, creative builds, problem-solving, curiosity, and teamwork. Visual Arts Camp gives campers a chance to explore different art styles and create daily projects. Musical Theater Camp blends acting, movement, storytelling, and ensemble work. Teen Leadership helps older campers practice communication, responsibility, mentorship, and confidence.
This camp is best matched with children who like creative variety, movement, group activities, and hands-on learning.

Dynasty Dance Co Summer Camp is a day camp. Campers attend during the day and return home afterward. No overnight lodging, cabins, dorm rooms, hotel stays, or residential supervision are included.
The regular full-day camp runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Drop-off takes place from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM, and pick-up takes place from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Morning Extended Camp is available from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, and Afternoon Extended Camp is available from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The camp day follows a structured rhythm. Campers start with check-in and group placement, then move through activity rotations, snack breaks, lunch, calming time or movie break, closing, clean-up, and pick-up. This format works well for children who need variety but still benefit from a predictable schedule.
The camp is not a residential arts academy. It is a local day camp with creative, movement-based, and enrichment activities.
The daily schedule includes two snack breaks and a lunch period. Snack breaks are listed in the morning and afternoon, while lunch is paired with group calming activity and movie break time.
Information about whether snacks or lunch are provided could not be confirmed from the available camp details. Families should plan to send food and water unless separate registration instructions say otherwise. Since the camp includes dance, park play, physical activity games, STEM projects, art, theater, and enrichment, campers may need enough food for a full active day.
Dynasty Dance Co lists age-based instructor-to-student ratios for summer camps. Ages 4–5 have a staff-to-child ratio of 1:6. Ages 6–8 have a ratio of 1 staff member to 8 children. Ages 9–14 have a staff-to-child ratio of 1:10. Ages 15–18 have a ratio of 1 staff member to 12 teens.
Camp leaders are selected through an extensive hiring process. Training includes CPR and First Aid certification, behavior guidance, trauma-informed care, child protection and abuse prevention, general risk management, support for campers with special needs, and heat and sun protection safety.
The program is also built around age-based instruction and small groups. This matters because the camp includes a wide range of activities, from dance and theater to STEM projects, park play, physical games, and art exploration.
Information about medication administration, prescription storage, EpiPen procedures, allergy action plans, on-site nursing staff, or illness policies could not be found on the official camp website.
The camp does list staff training in CPR and First Aid, heat and sun protection safety, behavior guidance, trauma-informed care, and support for campers with special needs. These details are relevant for families comparing supervision and staff preparedness.
Campers participate in creative, physical, and social activities, so families should consider the child’s stamina and comfort with group settings before choosing full-week or single-day enrollment. Children in dance, theater, STEM, or arts sessions may move between different activities during the day.
Dynasty Dance Co Summer Camp offers several different camp tracks. Dance Camp introduces campers to styles such as hip-hop, ballet, folkloric, contemporary, jazz, and more. The camp welcomes all skill levels and includes a short end-of-week performance for family and friends.
Visual Arts Camp gives children daily creative projects. Campers learn about different art styles, try what they learn, and create their own pieces to share. STEM Camp brings science, technology, engineering, and math to life through hands-on experiments, creative builds, and problem-solving challenges.
Musical Theater Camp brings acting, movement, storytelling, and ensemble work together. It focuses on creativity, collaboration, and confidence-building, with age-based instruction and small groups. Leadership in Training is designed for teens ages 13 and older and helps participants develop mentorship, communication, responsibility, and confidence.
Programming may also include mindfulness and movement, enrichment, park play, physical activity games, and additional theme-based activities.
Dynasty Dance Co is open to participants of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, gender identities, abilities, and sexual orientations.
