Empress Youth Theatre Summer Production

Picture three weeks of theatre immersion for your kids at the Empress Youth Theatre Summer Production camp. Here, each day is a new scene, with kids taking center stage from the break of dawn. They'll dive into a variety of theatre activities designed to fine-tune their acting skills, rehearsing showstopping production numbers for their final performance of 'THE WIZ!'. The first part of the day, running from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, is action-packed with large-scale rehearsals. As the curtain draws for intermission, the half-day students make their graceful exit, while those staying a full day can indulge in a brief, 45-minute respite. They'll refuel with lunch before heading back onto the stage for a casual theatre workshop — a perfect blend of learning, fun, and camaraderie. The afternoon session, stretching from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, is filled with focused rehearsals, where your little thespians get the chance to spotlight their solos, sharpen their small group numbers, and master the intricacies of blocking scenes. But it isn’t all work and no play; they'll also engage in team- and skill-building games, which not only fuel their passion but also imbue a sense of unity, a real bonding experience.
