Farmington Conference Center Camps

Farmington Conference Center Camps

Farmington, ME, USA

Overview

Cradled by the Sandy River in historic Farmington, Maine, we find the Farmington Conference Center Camp - a haven for both boys and girls to grow, learn, and connect. This camp, a thriving legacy of the Maine and New Hampshire Baptist Associations, is steeped in rich history, dating back to the Revolutionary War era. The camp is encircled by 52 acres of vibrant farmland, once owned by war veteran Moses Chandler, and it's not just the land that tells a tale - the colonial house, barn, and country store each whisper stories of the past. The camp's roots are deeply intertwined with those of Dr. Mary Cushman, a descendant of Moses Chandler, and a medical missionary to Africa. The Christian Girls Camp at the Center is designed to help young girls delve into the Bible, engage in nightly worship, and spend quality time with missionaries. The camp paints a picture of a haven where girls can forge lifelong friendships, bask in the wonder of the great outdoors, and discover their identities through the Creator's lens. The melodic rhythm of their 'camp-tivities', coupled with their unforgettable silly songs, creates a symphony of joy and learning. Similarly, the Boys Camp is an idyllic escape for boys who have completed grades 3-12. This one-week program helps them disconnect from the digital world and establish a deeper connection with God, all while fostering a sense of community. Whether they prefer shooting hoops, scoring goals, or diving into the pool, they'll find it all here. In conclusion, the Farmington Conference Center Camp is a place where history and faith intertwine, creating a nurturing environment for youngsters to explore their spirituality, build skills, and enjoy the beauty of nature.
