FC Bayern Soccer Camp Portland is a day camp. Campers do not stay overnight, and lodging is not included in the standard program.
Families coming from outside the Portland area need to arrange accommodation separately. The camp can provide information on collaborating hotels, but housing is not included in the camp fee. The residential experience is not included here; the focus is on daytime soccer training.
The regular schedule runs from 8 AM to 2 PM. Families should plan drop-off, pick-up, transportation, and any care outside those hours. Optional early drop-off and late pick-up are available and may help families with a wider daily schedule. Evening meals, overnight supervision, and activities after camp remain outside the program.
Campers need to bring a packed lunch unless they purchase lunch as an optional add-on. The schedule includes a lunch break each day, so players should arrive prepared with enough food for an active training day.
Each player also needs an individual water bottle. Water is provided between sessions, but campers still need their own bottle for the field. A healthy snack and isotonic drinks such as Powerade or Gatorade are recommended.
Lunch is available as an extra service, and breakfast can also be added before camp begins. These are optional conveniences, not standard inclusions. Families should select meal add-ons during registration if they want the camp to provide food. Sunscreen is also required, since the program takes place outdoors.
The camp day follows a predictable structure, which helps players move through the program without confusion. A typical day includes group distribution, training sessions, snack break, lunch, competition, feedback, and departure.
Players begin in age-based groups. After the first day, coaches may move campers depending on skill level. This gives the staff room to create better training matches while still keeping the broad age range manageable.
Training is led by official FC Bayern coaches licensed by UEFA. Assistant coaches help support the sessions and keep the training flow organized. Parents and guardians may watch from a designated area, but they must stay out of the training space.
During inclement weather, campers move to a designated shelter area. If camp is canceled after the day has already started, families must return to pick up their player. Indoor facilities are not available to keep campers for the rest of the day.
A licensed athletic trainer is available during camp for injuries or physical issues that happen during the program.
All campers must have personal medical coverage. The camp’s medical coverage is excess coverage only. It applies after the family’s own insurance policy has been used and does not cover deductibles. Parents remain responsible for medical treatment costs except for amounts covered by the camp’s excess policy.
Players should come prepared for outdoor activity. Sunscreen and an individual water bottle are required. Water is provided between sessions, and healthy snacks or isotonic drinks are recommended.
Information for this section could not be found on the official camp website for medication storage, allergy procedures, routine medicine administration, or on-site nursing support.
FC Bayern Soccer Camp Portland is organized around five days of soccer training from 8 AM to 2 PM. Players spend most of the day in active field sessions, with built-in breaks, lunch, competition, and feedback. The program is structured for development, not casual drop-in play.
The first day begins with an initial ceremony and first training sessions. Players are grouped by age at the start. After coaches observe them, campers may be moved into groups that better match their skill level.
Days two through four follow the main rhythm: group distribution, Session 1, snack break, Session 2, break, Session 3, lunch, competition, and feedback. The final day includes two field sessions, lunch, competition, and the final ceremony. Alongside soccer training, campers work on teamwork, leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship.
