Fit Kids America San Diego is a half-day summer camp program for children in grades K–5, typically ages 5–11. The current San Diego camp lineup includes three tracks: Arts & Crafts Camp, Dance/Cheer Camp, and Sport Adventure. Each program runs in the morning, giving kids a focused camp block without a long full-day schedule.
The camp is built around practical summer activities rather than one narrow specialty. Arts & Crafts Camp gives creative campers time to make crafts, paint, work with clay, and bring finished projects home. Dance/Cheer Camp is more performance-based, with jumps, chants, cheer dances, hip hop dances, crafts, Fit Kids Idol Day, and a possible Friday performance, depending on school approval. Sport Adventure is the most athletic option, with basketball, soccer, dodgeball, kickball, and traditional sports.
This setup works well for elementary-age kids who know what kind of activity they enjoy. A child who likes messy projects may fit better in Arts & Crafts. A child who enjoys music, rhythm, and performance may prefer Dance/Cheer. A child who wants movement, running, games, and friendly competition may be happiest in Sport Adventure.
The tone is casual, active, and kid-centered, with short sessions designed around fun, confidence, and peer interaction.

Fit Kids America San Diego is a day camp, not a sleepaway program. It does not include cabins, dorm rooms, overnight supervision, or residential services. Campers attend in the morning and leave when the session ends.
The San Diego camps run Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This makes the program a compact morning option rather than a full-day childcare-style camp. It may suit younger elementary campers, kids trying camp for the first time, or families who want a short structured activity before the rest of the day.
The San Diego sessions are connected to Del Sur Elementary.
The San Diego camp details include a specific arrival instruction: campers should enter through the gate by the lunch tables off the main parking lot. This gives families a clear meeting point for the program.
Fit Kids America San Diego has several repeatable camp moments built into the activity tracks. In Arts & Crafts Camp, the main tradition is making something tangible. Campers craft, paint, work with clay, and take home what they create. That gives the week a visible result children can show after camp.
Dance/Cheer Camp has a performance-style rhythm. Campers learn jumps, chants, cheer dances, and hip hop dances to popular songs. Fit Kids Idol Day adds a playful showcase element, and the camp description mentions a Friday performance where cheer dancers may show what they practiced, depending on school approval.
Sport Adventure has a more game-day feel. Campers rotate through high-energy sports and group activities such as basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and kickball. The focus is on movement, friendly competition, and shared team play rather than a formal league format.
The activity descriptions also show that camps are organized by program type and grade group. Arts & Crafts Camp, Dance/Cheer Camp, and Sport Adventure are all listed for grades K–5. The defined grade range helps keep the program focused on elementary-age children rather than mixing very young children with much older campers.
Fit Kids America San Diego gives elementary campers three distinct activity choices. Arts & Crafts Camp is built around creative projects, with children making crafts, painting, using clay, and taking their work home. Dance/Cheer Camp brings movement and performance into the week through cheer jumps, chants, cheer dances, hip hop routines, crafts, Fit Kids Idol Day, and a possible Friday performance. Sport Adventure gives active campers a sports-and-games format with traditional sports, basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and kickball.
Class is not held on June 19 during Session 2.
Friday Dance/Cheer performance depends on school approval.
Camps may be canceled because of low enrollment.
