Meals
Lunch is not included in the camp program. Families are asked to pack a lunch, snacks, and plenty of water for their child. To support camper safety, parents are encouraged to avoid sending foods that contain nuts, as some children may have allergies. A supervised lunch break is provided each day, giving kids time to rest, hydrate, and recharge before afternoon activities.
Safety
Safety is a central focus at Gator Camp. Children are grouped into small, age-appropriate teams and participate under the supervision of trained counselors and instructors. Staff members lead all activities, ensuring proper technique, safe equipment use, and attentive oversight throughout the day. The structured rotation of activities helps maintain order, prevents overcrowding, and keeps campers engaged while remaining secure.
Drop-off and pick-up are carefully organized, with a designated location and procedures that ensure smooth, secure transitions. Late pick-up policies also help maintain accountability and proper supervision. The overall environment emphasizes safe play, sportsmanship, and responsible participation.
Camp Traditions
Gator Camp has a long-standing rhythm that families appreciate. Camp days follow a consistent structure: check-in, warm-ups, rotating sports stations, group games, snack and lunch breaks, and closing activities. Counselors emphasize respect, teamwork, and positive communication. Many children return each summer, giving the camp a community feel where friendships grow year after year. While not centered on rituals or ceremonies, the camp’s traditions lie in its fun, inclusive culture, familiar faces, and the excitement of trying new sports every day.
