Groce UMC Music Camps, hosted by Groce United Methodist Church, provide a creative, music-centered experience where kids explore singing, rhythm, and performance in a supportive group setting. The atmosphere is warm, inclusive, and encouraging, making it easy for campers to feel comfortable expressing themselves.
The program focuses on introducing and developing musical skills through group activities. Campers participate in singing and music-based games that help build rhythm, listening, and coordination. The emphasis is on participation and enjoyment, rather than perfection, which helps kids stay engaged and confident.
This camp is best suited for children in elementary school. Younger campers benefit from playful, interactive activities that introduce music concepts, while older kids can build stronger performance skills and confidence. It’s a great fit for both beginners and kids who already enjoy music.
What makes Groce UMC Music Camps stand out is the strong sense of community. As part of Groce United Methodist Church, the program emphasizes inclusion, encouragement, and shared experiences. Campers work together, learn together, and often prepare for a shared performance, creating a positive and memorable environment.

Groce UMC Music Camps are day camps and do not offer overnight accommodation. Campers attend daily sessions and return home afterward.
The program is designed to provide a structured yet relaxed daily schedule. This setup works well for younger children and those who prefer a consistent routine.
Campers should arrive in comfortable clothing suitable for movement and participation in group activities. Personal items such as water bottles and snacks may be needed depending on the session.
The day camp format allows children to enjoy a full creative experience while maintaining their normal home routine. It also helps ease the transition for first-time campers.
Safety at Groce UMC Music Camps is supported through structured supervision and organized programming. Staff members oversee all activities and guide campers throughout the day.
Activities are designed to be age-appropriate and focused on music and movement, which limits physical risk. Clear instructions are given to help campers participate safely.
Lunch is provided daily as part of the camp program. This helps ensure campers stay energized and ready to participate in all activities throughout the day.
Having lunch included also makes the daily routine easier, as families do not need to prepare or pack meals. Campers can take a break, recharge, and enjoy time with their peers before continuing with music activities.
At Groce UMC Music Camp, each day blends music, creativity, and meaningful lessons in a supportive group setting. Campers explore singing, games, and hands-on activities while learning about the Gospel and how a relationship with Jesus can shape their daily lives. The program combines music education with faith-based discussions in an age-appropriate and engaging way. Throughout the week, campers prepare for a final performance, building confidence and teamwork. The experience ends with a live concert featuring the children’s musical “Down by the Creek Bank.”
