Overview

High Point Summer Camp is built around five main ideas: leadership, biblical faith, worship, fun, and connection. The camp is designed for students ages 14–19, giving teenagers the opportunity to spend a week with peers while exploring their faith in a practical, personal way.

Rather than presenting Christianity only as a set of beliefs, the camp takes a holistic approach. Students learn how biblical principles apply to everyday life and consider culturally relevant topics from a biblical perspective. The program also emphasizes experiencing Jesus personally through worship, making faith an active part of the camp experience.

Worship sessions are central to the program. Campers have time for intentional worship and are encouraged to deepen their relationship with God. These sessions are paired with opportunities to connect with other participants and take part in group experiences.

Leadership is another important theme. Camp activities are designed to challenge participants while encouraging them to work together and form connections. The camp describes its group activities as both challenging and rewarding, giving teens opportunities to step outside their comfort zones.

With its teen-focused format, Christian atmosphere, worship, group activities, and emphasis on friendship, High Point is best suited to teenagers who want a summer camp experience where faith is part of everyday camp life.

Why We Love It

  • Faith in everyday life: Biblical principles are connected to real-life situations rather than treated as classroom-only ideas.
  • Worship at the center: Personal and group worship give teens dedicated time to strengthen their relationship with God.
  • A strong sense of community: Group experiences and intentional counselor connections help campers form friendships with fellow believers.

Best For

  • Christian teens: Students who want faith to be a central part of their summer experience.
  • Growing leaders: Teens interested in developing confidence, leadership skills, and stronger connections with others.
  • Social and active campers: Participants who enjoy group activities, new challenges, worship, and spending a full week with peers.

Accommodation and Meals

Accommodation

High Point Summer Camp provides air-conditioned dormitories with bunk-style beds. Separate sections are provided for girls and boys. Campers use shared shower houses with restroom facilities, which are cleaned and inspected daily.

Counselors stay in the dorms with campers throughout their time at High Point, providing supervision and support outside the scheduled activities. The residential setup gives participants plenty of opportunities to spend time with their camp community while maintaining designated sleeping areas for boys and girls.

Meals

High Point Summer Camp provides a variety of nutritious foods during camp. Regular meals are included as part of the camp experience, giving campers a range of food choices throughout the day.

Cold drinks and snacks are handled separately and are left to the discretion of the camp and parents. Campers should bring extra spending money if they would like to purchase these items.

Families should also note that High Point does not provide alternative meals for food allergies during regular mealtimes. Parents of campers with allergies or specific dietary needs should contact the camp office in advance to discuss possible accommodations.

Safety

High Point places strong emphasis on personal connection and describes its counselors as being intentional about connecting with campers. This suggests that adult leaders play an active role in the camper experience rather than simply overseeing activities from a distance.

The camp also uses group activities that are described as challenging and rewarding, making appropriate adult guidance particularly important during these experiences.

Camp Traditions

Faith and worship are at the heart of the High Point experience. The camp describes worship as a way for students to connect with the Lord and apply biblical principles to daily life. Personal worship is also highlighted as an opportunity to deepen each camper's relationship with God.

The camp's emphasis on connecting with fellow believers is another important part of the experience. Students spend the week sharing activities and experiences with peers while developing friendships. The program is structured around two one-week sessions, giving teens the opportunity to participate in a focused week of camp life and faith development
