High School Research Program

The High School Research Program: Research Ignited is a rigorous online initiative designed for high school and undergraduate students eager to engage in college-level research. This program pairs students with expert mentors in their chosen field, enabling them to conduct meaningful research and even publish their findings in leading academic journals—a standout achievement for college and graduate school applications. Students can even propose unique topics outside the listed fields, as the program is committed to supporting individual interests by finding the perfect mentor match. The program spans 10 one-on-one sessions with a mentor who guides students through every stage of the research process—from crafting a research question to analyzing data and preparing a polished written product. For those aiming to publish their work, optional additional sessions provide comprehensive support for submission to academic journals. To participate, students must demonstrate a basic understanding of their chosen subject through prior coursework or extracurricular activities. They should also have strong time management skills and commit at least five hours weekly to independent work outside of scheduled sessions. Reliable internet access and video/audio capabilities are essential for this fully virtual program.
