Accommodation
Overnight campers stay in NC State dormitories in shared rooms. Rooms are assigned by age and gender, and the camp attempts to honor roommate requests when submitted before the session. Staff are housed in the same dorm buildings, creating a supervised and structured residential experience.
Campers live the college student lifestyle: dorms at night, labs and activities during the day, and shared mealtimes with peers.
Meals
Overnight campers receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the university dining hall. Meals are balanced and appropriate for active campers, and families can submit dietary restrictions or requests in advance.
Day campers may have optional meal arrangements during some sessions, or parents can send food with their child.
Safety
All instructors and staff are adults, undergo background checks, and receive training before the start of camp. Overnight staff remain on campus and supervise dorms.
Activities follow a structured schedule with close supervision during both lab sessions and recreational periods. Small class sizes help ensure safe equipment use and individualized attention.
Camp Traditions
iD Tech blends a tech-focused environment with classic camp spirit.
Weekly traditions include:
- Evening recreation and dorm bonding for overnight campers
- Gaming and creative activity nights
- A final-day project showcase where campers present their games, art, apps, robotics builds, or digital projects
This sense of accomplishment, paired with social connection, becomes a highlight of the experience.
