Lion Golf Academy at Mission Bay Golf Course is a junior golf camp offered through PGA Junior Golf Camps. The program focuses on beginner- to intermediate-level players and uses hands-on instruction to help children build the game's core skills. The main Half Day AM Camp is designed for ages 7–13, while select Half Day PM sessions serve ages 4–6.
The camp introduces golf in a way that feels structured but not stiff. Campers learn posture, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, simple rules, and etiquette. They are divided into smaller groups based on age and experience, which helps new golfers learn at a comfortable pace and gives returning players room to keep improving.
Mission Bay is also part of Lion Golf Academy’s full-time player development system. The academy emphasizes juniors, family learning, short game, putting, full swing, and athletic development. Children are also encouraged to play other sports, which supports a more balanced athletic foundation.
The camp fits kids who are curious about golf, beginning players who need fundamentals, and young golfers ready for more consistent coaching. The 4–6 age option provides a shorter introduction for very young players, while the 7–13 camp offers a longer morning block for skill-building.

Lion Golf Academy at Mission Bay Golf Course is a day camp. Campers attend the selected camp session and return home afterward. No overnight lodging, cabins, dorm rooms, hotel stays, or residential supervision are included.
The main camp format is half-day. Morning sessions for ages 7–13 run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Afternoon sessions for ages 4–6 run from 2:45 PM to 4:15 PM on select weeks. The shorter afternoon format is better matched to younger children, while the longer morning session gives older campers more time for instruction and practice.
The camp takes place at a golf facility with a course, driving range, putting greens, practice bunkers, and a chipping green. Families should plan for daily drop-off and pick-up. This is a focused golf development camp, not a full-day childcare program or a residential academy.
Lion Golf Academy at Mission Bay Golf Course uses a low student-to-instructor ratio of approximately 6:1. Smaller groups help instructors supervise campers, adjust instruction, and keep young golfers working at an appropriate level.
Campers are grouped by age and experience. This is especially important in golf because a child who is holding a club for the first time needs a different pace than a camper who already plays. Grouping also helps keep practice areas more organized.
Instruction is led by certified PGA of America Golf Professionals and/or LPGA Teaching Professionals. PGA Junior Golf Camps are designed as safe, educational environments with the child’s well-being in mind.
The camp takes place at a golf facility, so children should be ready to follow golf-course safety habits: listening to instructors, staying aware of other players, handling clubs carefully, and respecting practice-area rules.

Without Refund Protection, eligible cancellations may be handled as credit toward a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year.
