Welcome to an unforgettable summer sailing adventure, courtesy of the Manhattan Sailing School Teen Summer Camp. Here, teens swap screen time for sea time, leaving their virtual world behind and plunging headfirst into the exhilarating thrills of sailing. Imagine the hustle and bustle of Manhattan fading into the background as you embark onto the tranquil waters of New York Harbor. Drenched in sunshine, with the cool breeze rustling their hair, teens are given full reign to navigate a fleet of sleek J/24 race boats. They hoist sails, trim sheets, and learn to work as a team, engaging in the ancient ballet of tacking and gybing, all while mastering the intricate techniques of sailing. Unleash the inner adventurers in your teens as they decipher the dance of the wind and the whims of the currents. This experience promotes a spirit of resilience and instills confidence, providing the perfect platform for them to triumph over adversity. Not just savvy sailors, our teens transform into shutterbugs capturing their sailing sojourns on phones or GoPros. Their creativity finds the perfect outlet in this unique world, where they piece together memorable videos, shaping a visual chronicle of their journey. Every Friday brings with it the anticipation of the 'Lucky Dog Race', a colorful spectacle where all teen boats vie against each other, and even some boats from the Manhattan Yacht Club. What better way to round off a week of learning and fun? While this summer program offers several one-week sessions, we recommend at least two sessions for the most comprehensive sailing experience. So why wait? Start a lifetime of sailing with the Manhattan Sailing School Teen Summer Camp today! Enjoy a summer that promises fun, learning, resilience— all aboard a super cool boat!
