Marine Discovery Center Summer Adventures

Dive into an ocean of adventure with the Marine Discovery Center Summer Adventures 2009. This camp is an underwater paradise for young explorers aged between 4 and 14, offering a plethora of activities ranging from marine science to archery, kayaking, and much more. For the youngest adventurers, aged 4-8, the Loggerheads program is the perfect introduction to the fascinating world of lagoon exploration. A host of activities await, including hands-on island explorations, creative arts and crafts, exciting fishing expeditions, and captivating tours of Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and the Marine Science Center. For those aged 7-10, the Leatherbacks program offers an immersive experience focusing on the Leatherback Sea Turtle, the largest living reptile in the world. 

The program is designed for those who have already participated in our Loggerhead camp or are eager for an even bigger adventure. For campers aged 9-12, it's time to become Mangrove Maniacs! Discover the importance of tropical mangroves to our lagoon. Activities include island explorations, studies of fish and invertebrates, kayaking, and fishing. Plus, tours of the backwaters of the Indian River Lagoon. The Marine Discovery Center Summer Adventures 2009 promises a fun-filled, educational experience that will create lasting memories and foster a deep appreciation for the marine environment.
