Mariner Sailing School Camps

Whisk your children away for a summer of adventure and learning at Mariner Sailing School Camps. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Belle Haven Marina, this camp offers children an authentic sailing course where fun and safety steal the show. The intention is to foster a healthy respect for the water. Strapped into life jackets and aboard 14' Sunfish sailboats, the children embark on a journey of discovery and self-confidence. Please be aware - adventurous capsize and recovery drills do mean time in the water. But never fear, these are all part of the skills your young sailors will master. Caught in the caress of a mild breeze? Our capable instructors might switch gears and steer the course to canoeing or kayaking lessons through the scenic Dyke Marsh area or even a delightful swim. The Youth Basic Sailing Camp, created for the 8-15 age group, not only imparts hands-on sailing lessons but provides insightful knowledge about rigging knots, right-of-way rules, and much more - all atop a Sunfish with a comfortable 6:1 student-instructor ratio. But the journey doesn't end there. Once the Sunfish has been conquered, the youthful sailors set their sights on the Flying Scot in the Advanced Sailing School. Added jib sail training ups the excitement quotient and keeps them coming for more. Flexible scheduling options include both morning and afternoon sessions, with courses available through the first week of September.
