Taking its first serve in 1997, the camp has been cultivating a love for tennis through free lessons in local schools. The game soon found a permanent home at Martha's Vineyard, with four expertly crafted clay courts, a backboard, and a clubhouse, all set up by 2002. It's been game, set, match for the camp ever since, drawing an average of 250 kids each week during the summer months of July and August. The camp spares no effort to keep the sport in season all year long. Two courts are cocooned under an inflatable bubble during winter, allowing your kids to perfect their swing, come rain or shine. The camp's clubhouse, a testament to Vineyard style architecture, offers more than just a place to refresh. Designed by Charles Sullivan and graced by the interior magic of Twanette Tharp, it features locker rooms, a reception area, and a media room, with decks overlooking the courts. All this is made possible by the generous support of private donors, who have been instrumental in meeting the camp's capital and operating expenses.
