Marin Conservatory of Dance combines professional-quality ballet instruction with a nurturing, creative atmosphere. The summer program welcomes children at every level, from the Tutu Program (ages 4–5) — a playful introduction to rhythm and movement—to technique-focused intensives for older dancers.
What sets this program apart is its emphasis on both skill and self-expression. Younger children build coordination and confidence through imaginative games, storytelling, and creative movement. Older students refine ballet technique, develop strength and flexibility, and prepare short performance pieces that showcase what they’ve learned.
The conservatory’s instructors are professional dancers and experienced educators who bring out the best in each child. The studio culture is supportive, structured, and inspiring—a place where kids work hard, laugh often, and learn that dedication and joy can go hand in hand.

The conservatory maintains a professional training environment with sprung flooring and Harlequin Marley surfaces, which reduce injury risk and support the development of joints. Classes are taught and supervised by qualified instructors who emphasize proper posture, technique, and alignment. Younger dancers receive close attention and guidance, ensuring that their experience is both safe and encouraging.
Families can expect organized check-in and pick-up procedures, as well as clear communication regarding attendance and class transitions. The focus is on maintaining a positive, disciplined environment where every child can learn and move safely.
Marin Conservatory of Dance’s summer program blends structured ballet training with creativity, imagination, and personal growth. Each day begins with warm-ups and technique lessons, followed by choreography practice or creative exercises that let students express themselves through movement. Younger children in the Tutu Program explore rhythm, coordination, and storytelling through dance games and guided improvisation, while older students focus on strength, flexibility, and performance skills.
Tuition policies (refunds, absences, late arrivals) are detailed at registration.
Placement is based on age and skill, subject to instructor approval.
