MEF/ASU Band Summer Camp

If your child dreams of making music that stirs the soul and sets the stage alight, the MEF/ASU Band Summer Camp is a perfect fit. Located on the vibrant Arizona State University campus in Tempe, this camp offers young musicians an unforgettable opportunity to refine their craft under the guidance of top-tier instructors. From ASU School of Music faculty to Phoenix Symphony professionals and seasoned band directors, campers will be learning from some of the best in the business. The week kicks off with a friendly audition that places students into concert bands tailored to their skill level. From there, each day is packed with enriching activities. Campers will spend three hours rehearsing with large ensembles, one hour in sectional practice, and another hour exploring elective classes. They’ll also enjoy masterclasses or faculty recitals that inspire and educate. And it’s not all work—there’s plenty of time for social activities designed to build friendships and teamwork. The grand finale comes on Friday with a student performance at the ASU Evelyn Smith Music Theatre. Families can watch their young musicians shine as they showcase all they've learned during the week. For older students (11th and 12th graders), volunteer positions offer a chance to step up as leaders while still soaking up the camp experience.
