Accommodation
Monarch Camps operate exclusively as day camps. Campers attend daily sessions and return home at the end of each camp day. Overnight lodging, cabins, or residential accommodations are not part of the program.
Meals
All food and snacks are provided during the camp day. Monarch Camps partner with LA Lunch Lady, a trusted meal provider known for serving schools and youth programs throughout the region. Meals are prepared from scratch with a strong focus on nutrition, quality ingredients, and kid-friendly flavors.
Each lunch includes a vegetable and is completely nut-free. Campers are offered a daily buffet-style special with a vegetarian option available. Fruit is provided at snack time, and families may choose to purchase premium snack packages that include vegan smoothies and other snacks.
For campers who prefer something different, alternate meals can be ordered for an additional fee. These selections can be chosen and paid for through the meal provider’s ordering system up to the night before the camp day. This flexible setup allows families to accommodate preferences while keeping meals simple and reliable during the week.
Safety
Safety is a core priority at Monarch Camps. Camp activities are supervised by trained staff who follow established safety procedures throughout the day. Clear routines and structured schedules help ensure that campers remain accounted for and engaged in appropriate activities at all times.
The camp benefits from its location within a highly supported area. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department maintains a station on campus that is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additionally, a Los Angeles Fire Department station is located directly across the street on Burbank, allowing for rapid emergency response if ever needed.
Health & Medicine
Many Monarch Camp staff members are certified in CPR and First Aid. First aid kits are carried by management staff to quickly and effectively address minor injuries. Staff are trained to respond calmly and appropriately to common camp-related medical situations.
In addition to on-site preparedness, the camp’s proximity to emergency services enhances overall medical safety. Families are encouraged to communicate any relevant health considerations during registration to ensure staff are aware and prepared to support campers’ needs during the day.
