As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Mountain Roots is dedicated to providing discovery and adventure learning experiences that focus on environmentally responsible living and fostering a sense of community. Campers will dive into hands-on activities like gardening, art, and music while exploring the natural world around them. From creating tie-dye shirts to sculpting clay gnomes, the arts and crafts sessions are designed to inspire creativity while teaching campers about sustainability. Each week features new themes like "Plants and You" or "Survivor," ensuring that no two weeks are the same. In addition to arts and crafts, campers will engage in outdoor adventures that include environmental education, free play, and community service projects. Whether they’re learning how rivers support ecosystems or investigating the mysteries of the natural world as "Nature Detectives," every day brings new opportunities for exploration and growth.
