Music & Arts Summer Camp is designed as a creative, hands-on experience where children can explore several art forms rather than spending the week focused on just one activity. The program combines visual art and music, giving campers opportunities to make, perform, experiment, and collaborate. Activities include painting, sculpture building, songwriting, singing, and playing music. The mix keeps the experience varied and gives children with different interests a chance to find something they enjoy.
A field trip adds another dimension to the week. Campers visit the Oceanside Museum of Art for a guided tour, giving them the chance to experience artwork outside the classroom and see how artists' ideas can be presented in a professional museum setting. The week ends with a Student Art Exhibition, where campers can share the artwork they created during camp.
The program is open to children ages 6 and up, making it a good option for elementary-age children as well as older students who enjoy creative activities. No single artistic discipline dominates the schedule, so participants can move between music and visual arts throughout the week.
The overall atmosphere is playful and exploratory. Instead of simply learning about art, campers spend their time creating it. That makes the program particularly appealing to children who like hands-on projects, music, drawing, building, or performing and want a summer experience where they can experiment with several creative outlets.

This is a day camp, so campers return home after the daily program. The camp runs as a morning program, with activities taking place from 9:00 AM to noon. No overnight accommodation or residential housing is provided.
The day-camp format works well for younger participants who may not be ready for an overnight experience. It also keeps the focus on the creative activities without adding the structure of residential camp life. Families should plan for transportation to and from the camp each day.
The camp has a special end-of-week tradition: a Student Art Exhibition. Campers can showcase the artwork they created during the program, giving the week a clear creative finale. The program also includes a guided museum visit, which adds an educational arts experience outside the regular camp setting
The program gives campers a chance to move between visual arts and music throughout the week. Children create hands-on projects while also experimenting with singing, playing music, and songwriting.
