O-D Camp at LIU brings structured football instruction to a collegiate environment where detail and repetition drive improvement. The atmosphere combines intensity with organization. Players move through scheduled rotations that emphasize technique, discipline, and performance under pressure.
Training is centered around position development. Quarterbacks refine mechanics and decision-making. Receivers focus on route timing and ball skills. Linemen strengthen leverage and blocking technique. Defensive players sharpen reaction speed, coverage reads, and pursuit angles. Speed and agility training are integrated into the daily schedule to support overall athletic growth.
The camp serves athletes ages 6–18. Younger players gain confidence by learning core fundamentals in a clear, structured setting. Middle and high school athletes participate in faster-paced drills and competitive evaluations that mirror game situations. Participants are grouped by age and ability to maintain appropriate challenge levels.
Camp formats may include Mini Camp Day, Mega Camp Day, Mega Camp Extended Day, and Overnight options. Extended and Overnight formats provide additional training sessions and a more immersive football experience.

Participants in Mini Camp Day and Mega Camp Day attend daily training sessions and return home afterward. Mega Camp Extended Day provides additional field time without overnight lodging.
Residential campers follow a structured routine that includes practice blocks, meals, and supervised downtime. Staff oversee housing areas to maintain accountability and organization.
Meal service depends on the selected format. Mini Camp Day and Mega Camp Day participants receive lunch during camp hours.
Mega Camp Extended Day and Overnight campers receive both lunch and dinner to support extended training schedules.
All drills are supervised by experienced coaches who emphasize proper mechanics and controlled progression. Athletes learn technique at manageable speeds before advancing to higher-intensity competition.
Players are grouped by age and skill level to maintain appropriate physical matchups. Rotational station formats reduce congestion and keep instruction organized.
Sportsmanship and discipline are reinforced throughout camp activities. The structured training format supports skill development while maintaining order and safety.
The LIU camp program blends technical instruction with competitive application. Campers rotate through position-based skill stations where mechanics are demonstrated, practiced, and reinforced. Coaches provide real-time feedback to help athletes make immediate adjustments.
Speed and agility training enhances quickness, balance, and coordination. Competitive drills simulate real-game pressure, giving players the opportunity to test their skills in structured matchups. Written evaluations help athletes track development over the course of camp.
In addition to on-field sessions, educational components such as chalk talks or film study may be offered. At selected locations, special teams instruction, including kicking and long snapping, is available. A recruiting seminar element may also be included for older athletes seeking insight into next-level opportunities.
