Summer programming at Rachel’s Ballet centers on age- and level-based dance workshops at the Fremont studio. The youngest campers take Ballet Story Workshops that combine ballet, crafts, storytelling, and creative exploration. Older elementary-age dancers can join Grade 1 & 2 combination work, while dancers in Grades 3–5 can take an Ensemble Workshop. Vocational-level dancers have a separate Variations Workshop, and Grade 4 through Vocational students can also join a four-day Nutcracker preparation camp.
The program emphasizes ballet training while giving each age group a different focus. Young dancers explore movement through stories and creative projects. More experienced dancers work on ensemble skills, variations, technique, and performance preparation. The Nutcracker camp includes audition preparation, miming and expression, pointe or pre-pointe work where appropriate, conditioning, stretching, and Nutcracker choreography. Rachel’s Ballet also describes its broader training as developmentally based, with progression through Royal Academy of Dance levels.
Summer camps are held at the Fremont studio. Published 2026 options used different daily time blocks by age or level, ranging from shorter workshops for younger children to longer sessions for advanced dancers. Named instructors and staff teach the summer offerings. The school’s staff page describes a team with ballet, contemporary, jazz, acro, choreography, and Royal Academy of Dance teaching backgrounds.

Rachel’s Ballet organizes its summer workshops by age and dance level rather than as one mixed camp day. The Young Dance Camp includes Ballet Story Workshops for approximately ages 3.5–9, with separate Dance To Your Own Tune, Pre-Primary & Primary, and Grade 1 & 2 groups. These workshops combine ballet with storytelling, crafts, and creativity, and each level has its own daily time block.
For older dancers, the Ensemble Workshop is designed for Grades 3–5 and focuses on group dance work, while the Variations Workshop is for Vocational-level dancers. Students not already registered at the Vocational level are asked to obtain approval for that workshop. Rachel’s Ballet also offers a four-day Nutcracker camp for Grade 4 through Vocational students. Its published focus includes audition preparation, miming and expression, ballet technique, pointe or pre-pointe work where appropriate, conditioning, stretching, and Nutcracker choreography.
The summer offerings build on Rachel’s Ballet’s broader developmentally based training approach. The school follows Royal Academy of Dance progression and describes its regular curriculum as combining technical fundamentals with musicality, performance quality, strength, flexibility, and creative expression. Summer workshops use named instructors and staff from the school’s teaching team.
Rachel’s Ballet publishes studio rules and emergency procedures for its programs. The terms authorize the studio to seek emergency medical treatment for a minor if emergency contacts cannot be reached. The school also states that dancers who leave the premises should be supervised when entering or exiting the building. Studio policies restrict photography or recording during classes without special permission and require students to follow the school’s dress and conduct rules.
The school’s terms include parent or guardian authorization for emergency medical treatment when an urgent situation occurs and emergency contacts cannot be reached. Published policies also address illness-related absences, but the summer pages do not identify an on-site nurse, dedicated medical staff, medication service, or a separate camp health program. Families should use the school’s normal registration and contact process for program-specific questions.
Rachel’s Ballet describes a teaching team with Royal Academy of Dance credentials and varied professional dance and education backgrounds. The founder is a certified Royal Academy of Dance teacher, and other instructors include registered RAD teachers as well as teachers with experience in ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, acro, choreography, performance, anatomy, kinesiology, and dance education. The summer page names instructors for the young workshops, Ensemble and Variations workshops, and Nutcracker camp, with additional school staff supporting some sessions.
Rachel’s Ballet says parent communication is handled primarily by email and the school website. Families are expected to check email for schedule changes, rehearsals, performances, exams, and other announcements. For urgent matters, the school also provides a public phone contact. Teachers are not available for parent discussions during class time; families may request follow-up through the school’s normal contact channels.
Summer camps are held at the Fremont studio. The published 2026 schedule uses different daily time blocks by age or dance level, so families should select the workshop that matches the dancer’s placement. Registration is handled through Rachel’s Ballet’s registration process and linked account portal. The school’s summer page asks Ensemble and Variations dancers to bring a snack. Studio rules allow food in lobby areas and prohibit gum, nuts, and popcorn; water and sports drinks are permitted in the studios.
Rachel’s Ballet states that summer program payments are non-refundable.
