Overview
Engage with the joy of equestrian pursuits at Rainbow Ridge Farm Summer Day Camp, where children saddle up and embark on an exciting journey into the world of horseback riding. Owned and operated by Lorie Miller, a woman whose childhood affinity for horses evolved into a lifelong passion, the camp channels the spirit of pastoral tranquility right in Pennsylvania's Bedminster Township.
Lorie's own expedition into horsemanship took root in the cityscapes of Northeast Philadelphia, nurtured by frequent visits to local farms and horse shows with her grandfather, and matured in the verdant expanses of Holland, PA. From her initial English riding lessons at the age of 14 to her advanced training as a Hunter/Jumper at local stables, horses were not just her sideline, but an integral part of her life.
Drawing on her experiences as a 4H member, participant in numerous equestrian clinics, and a volunteer at local therapeutic riding centers, Lorie decided to impart her love of these magnificent beasts to others by establishing Rainbow Ridge Farm. Teachings transcend beyond Western and English horseback riding to impart an appreciation for Rowing and Crew as well.
Situated on a serene 25-acre site, Rainbow Ridge Farm is more than just a camp - it's an immersive equestrian haven. In addition to the summer riding program, it houses a full array of services including boarding, riding lessons, and an after-school saddle club. Despite being a private facility, Rainbow Ridge extends its reach by operating a non-profit therapeutic riding center.
As families plan their summer activities, Rainbow Ridge Farm Summer Day Camp presents itself as a notable contender, enabling kids to not merely play out their cowboy fantasies, but to respect, communicate, and build lifelong relationships with horses.
