Campers spend the day building and programming with LEGO Spike Prime robotics kits, with a new robotics project and LEGO activity planned for each day of the summer program. The camp is designed for incoming third through seventh graders, requires no prior robotics experience, and keeps enrollment small with a published maximum of 12 children per camp.
The learning focus combines robotics construction, programming, and STEM concepts. Children work with ideas drawn from science, technology, engineering, and math while using a hands-on approach to make robots and explore how building choices and code affect what a robot does. Robotics and Kids also describes its broader teaching approach as learning by doing, with projects intended to give students practical experience in designing, constructing, and programming.
The summer camp runs in Fremont during daytime hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The program is a fit for children who want a project-based technology experience centered on robotics, coding, engineering, and creative problem-solving.

The summer program centers on LEGO Spike Prime robotics. Campers take on new robotics projects and LEGO activities each day, with instruction focused on how robots are built and programmed. The official program materials describe robotics as a practical way to connect STEM ideas with hands-on work, allowing children to apply engineering and programming concepts while creating working robots.
Robotics and Kids uses a learning-by-doing approach. Its robotics instruction emphasizes designing, construction, programming, and problem-solving rather than passive demonstrations. The organization describes Spike Prime as combining a LEGO building system, a programmable hub, and drag-and-drop software, giving students a direct way to connect physical construction with code. No prior experience is required for the summer camp.
The camp is intended for incoming third through seventh graders and publishes a maximum camp size of 12 children. Each camp day runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Fremont.
Robotics and Kids was founded by Swati Mittal. The organization states that she has a master’s degree in computer application, completed a LEGO Education instructor course, worked as a software developer, and taught computer programming to high school students before founding Robotics and Kids in 2015.
Robotics and Kids asks families to complete and sign a waiver and bring it during registration or to the first class. The organization’s registration process uses an online form followed by payment through PayPal, where families may pay by credit or debit card or with a PayPal account.
The published refund policy allows a 75% refund up to two weeks before the beginning of a session. No refund is offered after that point.
