Welcome to the exciting world of Sedgwick County ZooCamp, a haven for young animal enthusiasts and budding conservationists. This camp is teeming with activities that inspire respect for nature, awaken curiosity, and foster a spirit of adventure. Children aged 4-9 can join the 'Be a Force for Nature' class, where they'll delve into the wonders of the wild right in their backyards. They'll learn the essentials of nurturing a healthy habitat for native animals, encouraging them to flourish and thrive. The 'Conservation Heroes' theme lets children uncover the profound bonds between humans and animals. They'll get their hands dirty while gaining insight into how they can contribute to a healthier planet. It's an opportunity to empower the youngest generation with the confidence that they can make a difference. For the adventurous, the 'Outdoor Adventurers' class offers children a chance to become bona fide nature enthusiasts. Hiking through the zoo and its wilder areas, they'll encounter the animals who call it home. The 'SAFE: Saving Animals from Extinction' program is a chance for children to harness their 'kid power' for an international conservation initiative. They'll understand how their actions can contribute to the survival of their favorite species, both at the zoo and at home. Older children aged 10-12 can enroll in the 'Junior Zoo Kids' class. Here, the focus is on the fundamentals of animal care, with unique themes each week. They'll have the chance to interact with keepers and learn more about the animals under their care. So, pack your explorer's hat and join us at Sedgwick County ZooCamp, where every day is a new adventure!
