Meals
Camp families are responsible for providing lunch, snacks, and a refillable water bottle for their child each day. The camp’s schedule includes snack and lunch breaks, and staying hydrated is emphasized due to the physical activity. What to pack consists of a healthy lunch, water, maybe extra snacks, and sun-protection items like hats and sunscreen.
Safety
SF Tennis Kids Camp places strong emphasis on safe, age-appropriate instruction. Coaches and instructors follow a progressive teaching model: younger children use smaller courts, lighter balls, and smaller rackets — reducing risk and making the game developmentally suitable. As children progress, equipment scales up. This thoughtful structure supports safe learning and builds confidence.
Sessions are structured, with warm-ups and cooldowns, and likely supervised hydration breaks to support camper well-being. Age-based grouping helps ensure that coaching and play remain balanced. The camp’s policy on equipment and scaled instruction reduces injury risk while enabling children to develop skills at their own pace.
Camp Traditions
SF Tennis Kids Summer Camp carries forward a tradition of making tennis accessible, fun, and social for kids. Regular progression through age-appropriate levels — from “little champions” on 36-foot courts with red balls to full-court play — is a longtime hallmark of the program. This structure gives kids a sense of growth and achievement over time.
Many returning families appreciate the familiar rhythm: morning lessons or drills, snack breaks, matches or games, and social time with peers. For kids, the camp becomes more than tennis — a place to make friends, build confidence, and return year after year as their skills grow.
