Sugar Sweet Farm Camp is a boutique farm-and-garden day camp for children ages 6–12. The program takes place on a real family-run organic hobby farm and centers on hands-on connection with animals, nature, and daily farm life. Campers are not just visiting animals for a quick petting session. They help care for them, learn their routines, and spend unhurried time building comfort and confidence around living things.
The camp’s animal community includes goats, llamas, miniature horses, mini-donkeys, chickens, ducks, turkeys, a pig, a horse, tortoises, cats, and dogs. Recent farm additions include a baby llama, ducklings, baby goats, and a big spotted horse. The experience is animal-rich and also includes garden time, cooperative games, farm crafts, stories, music, and outdoor exploration.
Small group size is one of the defining features. The camp uses a 3:1 camper-to-counselor ratio, which supports individualized attention and a calmer, more personal camp day. Children who enjoy animals, sensory outdoor play, gentle adventure, and creative farm projects are the strongest match.
The camp is fully outdoors, unplugged, and rooted in real connection: with counselors, other campers, animals, and the natural world.

Sugar Sweet Farm Camp is a day camp. Campers attend during the daytime and return home afterward. No overnight lodging, cabins, dorm rooms, hotel stays, or residential supervision are included.
The regular Farm Camp day runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Families can also add the optional AfterCamp Program from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for extra time on the farm. Camp sessions are offered by the day rather than only as full-week blocks, giving families more scheduling flexibility across the summer.
The camp takes place on a private family farm. Visits are by appointment only, and the farm is not open for drop-in visits. Parents do not stay during camp hours, because the program is designed as a child’s independent farm adventure. Campers spend their day outdoors with animals, gardens, creative activities, and supervised farm play.
Campers bring lunch from home. A healthy morning snack is provided during the camp day. The schedule includes outdoor activity, animal care, games, gardening, and water play, so children should arrive ready for a full day of movement and time outside.
Lunch is eaten during the regular camp day, after a morning of farm activities. Families should pack food that is easy to eat outdoors and suitable for the child’s needs. No full meal service, cafeteria lunch, or catered food program is included.
Morning snack is part of the farm day, but families should still plan lunch carefully, especially for children with food preferences or allergies. The official information does not describe special diet handling, refrigeration, microwave use, or allergy-specific food procedures.
The AfterCamp Program extends the day until 4:00 PM, so campers staying later may need additional food or drink from home.
Sugar Sweet Farm Camp keeps enrollment small, with a 3:1 camper-to-counselor ratio. This supports close supervision, individualized attention, and a calmer farm environment where children can be known by the staff.
Campers participate in outdoor farm activities and should be in good physical health for a full day on the farm. Children with developmental disabilities may be considered with advance communication so the family and camp can decide whether the setting is a good fit and whether a support plan is appropriate.
Water play is supervised by certified lifeguards. Parents are asked not to stay during camp hours, which helps keep the group focused and allows children to build confidence independently. Farm visits are by private appointment only, and the farm is not open for public drop-in visits.
Sugar Sweet Farm Camp gives children a full outdoor farm day with animals, gardens, creative work, and play. Campers start with a welcome animal, then move through cooperative games, farm chores, animal care, and garden activities. The structure is familiar each day, but the exact experience changes with the animals, the season, and the surprises that naturally happen on a farm.
Children gather eggs, visit barnyard animals, milk goats, pick oranges, and make orange juice. They also work and play in the garden, create farm crafts, scrub buckets, bathe animals, and take part in everyday farm tasks. These activities help campers see animals as living beings that need care, not just cute photo moments.
The day also includes imagination and play. Campers climb to Bubba’s Treehouse, play in Sissy’s Playhouse, read stories in the bunny village, make music in the orchard and garden, and cool off with supervised water play.
Reservation dates may be adjusted for free if space is available.
The reschedule option closes 48 hours before the camp date.
