At The Rock 101 Music Camp, young rockers immerse themselves in the thrill of playing real music together. Designed for kids ages 7-12 who may have little or no previous experience, the camp offers a supportive, high-energy environment where campers learn instruments, explore music theory, rehearse with peers and build confidence. What makes this camp special is its “band-in-a-week” format — kids spend each day in lessons, rehearsals, practice time and musical games, and culminate the week by performing live on stage.
Campers learn not just notes and chords but teamwork, creativity and the thrill of playing together. The fun is real, the music is hands-on, and the community is welcoming. If your child enjoys singing, drumming, playing guitar or wants to try something new with friends, this is a perfect fit for their first big step into music.

Safety is part of the rhythm of the camp: instructors are trained, instruments and equipment are supervised, and the day camp structure keeps children in a controlled, organized environment. The camp runs Monday through Friday with defined drop-off and pick-up times, making it easy for families to manage their schedules. Equipment usage (amps, drums, guitars) is managed by staff; students follow guidelines for ear protection and safe practice. This structured approach gives parents confidence that their child is learning in a fun but safe setting.
The Rock 101 camp builds excited momentum through daily music-based activities, culminating in a live band performance on Friday for family and friends. Campers rotate through breakout sessions, rehearsal rooms, and performance practice, making music together and cheering each other on. Musical games, instrument exploration, and peer bands add to the tradition of collaborative fun. Weekly themes, instrument swaps, and the shared ’big show’ moment give each session a special identity and help children feel accomplished and proud.
The Rock 101 Music Camp is structured to provide beginner musicians with a whole week of immersive music learning, balanced with fun and social connection. Each day includes instrument-specific breakout workshops, band rehearsals, guided practice time and music-based games. Students collaborate with peers to learn songs, create rhythm, rehearse and prepare for a live performance by the end of the week. Staff instructors guide technique, teamwork, stage presence, and confidence, helping every camper get on stage and play — the result: a proud performance, new skills, and a boost in confidence.
