Here, children get a taste of adulting, stepping into the shoes of "citizens" for a day in an intricately designed mini-city. Every day, about 100 young minds take on roles in one of the 17 businesses that make up JA BizTown. They learn the ins and outs of financial responsibility, juggling earnings, managing a checking account, and even understanding the concept of taxes. These little citizens learn the value of giving as they contribute to charity from their hard-earned income. But it's not all work and no play in JA BizTown. The young citizens also take time for leisure, exploring the city, shopping, and even health check-ups. They could even find themselves in the limelight during a TV interview. It's a bustling day of learning, responsibility, and fun! The experience doesn't just happen overnight. The children prepare for their JA BizTown adventure with four weeks of classroom lessons.
