The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program is a transformative, week-long experience for high school students in grades 9-12. Held at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, the program combines hands-on learning with access to world-class faculty, researchers, and industry professionals.

With 19 specialized institutes to choose from, the Summer Immersion Program allows students to focus on their passions and gain real-world insights. Fields of study include STEM, medicine, business, psychology, law, engineering, and more. Each institute provides an in-depth look at a specific career or academic field through:

For those unable to attend in person, the Online Immersion Program offers flexible courses that are 100% online and mostly asynchronous. Students can work at their own pace while engaging with mentors and earning a certificate of completion.
Life on Campus
Students attending the on-campus program will stay in residence halls, enjoy meals in dining facilities, and participate in evening activities designed to foster friendships and community. A typical day includes academic programming from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, followed by free time or group events in the evenings. It’s an immersive experience that provides a taste of college life.
