Summer breezes whisper through the trees at Windham-Tolland 4-H Overnight Camp, carrying with them the sound of laughter, the splash of paddles on water, and the harmonious hum of children exploring their world. This hub of joyous activity, nestled in the quaint Pomfret Center, CT, offers an unforgettable adventure for kids, from the tender age of 7 to the bustling youth of 15. The camp's program rolls out a sun-drenched carpet of seven weeks each summer, brimming with opportunities to make new friends, learn valuable skills, and create indelible memories. The heart of the camp's offering is the Resident/Overnight Camp, a six-day, five-night escapade into the realms of fun and self-discovery. For the younger adventurers, the Overnight Clover Camp serves as their introduction to the exhilarating world of camping. Equipped with their very own counselor, these young Clovers get a taste of regular camp activities during their two-night stay. An "Experienced" Clover Camp is also available for those who have previously dipped their toes in the soothing waters of overnight camping.The camp's activities are as diverse as they are engaging, ranging from the precision of archery to the rhythm of dance. The thrill of canoeing and kayaking provides an adrenaline rush, while sports and swimming ensure a healthy dose of physical activity. At Windham-Tolland 4-H Overnight Camp, every sunny day is a new chapter in a child's summer story, filled with fun, friendship, and the freedom to explore.
