Building, coding, experimenting, and exploring are at the center of Wonder Quest’s summer program. Students work through hands-on STEAM experiences that connect science, technology, engineering, and math with practical projects. Camp activities include DIY electronics, robotics, lab experiments, math games, team sports, outdoor adventure, and beach exploration. The program also schedules field trips every Wednesday, giving campers a chance to connect their projects and questions with places beyond the learning center.
The project modules are divided by grade level. Students in grades 3–5 build a Bluetooth electric car while learning about batteries, circuits, and engineering. Students in grades 6–8 work with ultrasonic sensor technology, use coding to design a smart system, and explore robotics. Campers also get a laboratory-focused science experience that introduces biotechnology and chemistry through hands-on experiments in a real college lab.
Wonder Quest is a strong fit for children who like making things, testing ideas, solving practical problems, and moving between technical projects and active experiences. Published Wednesday field-trip destinations include San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve, Children’s Pool in La Jolla, and City Fun Center, where listed activities include bowling, mini golf, arcade games, laser tag, and racing games. The result is a camp format that mixes structured STEAM learning with outdoor and recreational experiences.
