YaYa’s Academy summer camps are designed to nurture a love of movement and creativity in young children through structured yet playful programming. The camp atmosphere is upbeat, caring, and welcoming, helping campers feel comfortable as they explore dance and expressive movement for the first time or continue developing existing skills. Instruction focuses on positive reinforcement, imagination, and participation rather than performance pressure.
YaYa’s Academy summer camps are especially well-suited for school-aged children and teens who enjoy performing arts, staying active, and expressing themselves through movement. Campers participate in guided movement, music-based activities, and creative exercises that encourage self-expression and build confidence. Small group interactions help children develop social skills such as sharing, teamwork, and following classroom routines.

Campers attend scheduled daytime activities and return home each day. There are no residential facilities such as cabins or dormitories. Families are responsible for daily drop-off and pick-up and for providing any personal items their child may need during the camp day. The day-camp format supports consistency and allows young children to maintain familiar routines at home.
Camp Traditions
YaYa’s Academy summer camps focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment where children feel ce lebrated for participation and effort. Camp traditions center around joyful movement, imaginative exploration, and building confidence through routine and repetition. Children are encouraged to express themselves freely while learning to listen, follow directions, and engage respectfully with peers.
Group activities and shared movement experiences help campers feel part of a community, reinforcing cooperation and kindness. These traditions support emotional growth alongside physical development, making camp a comfortable and uplifting experience for young children.
The activities program at YaYa’s Academy summer camps is designed to keep young campers moving, engaged, and smiling throughout the day. Activities focus on age-appropriate dance and movement that encourage coordination, rhythm, and creative expression. Instruction is playful and interactive, helping children learn through music and motion rather than formal technique.
Campers participate in guided movement sessions that blend dance basics with imaginative play, allowing them to explore how their bodies move in space. Group activities promote social interaction and listening skills, while creative exercises encourage confidence and self-expression. The program is structured to match the attention span and developmental needs of younger children.
