"The Sonnschein Hotel is part of the Harmony hotel chain run by the Austrian Thaler family. The hotel is a little away from the centre of Niederau village. The lifts, ski school, restaurants and shops are only a 5-7 minute walk away. "Sonnschein" does not belong to the category of luxury hotel complexes.
Rather, it is a traditional Austrian hotel with a home-like atmosphere and yet with all the services you need for a comfortable stay. Therefore, if you are used to staying in luxury hotels, this is probably not the hotel for you. The rooms are simple in appearance but spacious and clean. When booking, look out for the rooms in the new wing of the building which are lighter and larger, great for families with children.
A handy feature is that all your ski equipment can be rented on site. It can be stored either in a special room in the "Sonnenshein" or in a locker in the rental office near the gondola. You and your kids will love the spa area with its two indoor pools, sauna, steam room and infrared cabin. The food is good but not too fancy, more characteristic of a three-star hotel. A games room and board games are also available for younger guests. In the evenings there is a children's cinema.
