The three-star Hotel Tirolerhof is located in the quiet and cosy village of Oberau. Despite its small size, the village has everything for a comfortable holiday: ski rental shops, pharmacies, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel is located right next to the ski area and one of the lifts (there are three rope tow lifts in Oberau, two blue runs and one black run).
If you are planning to send your child to ski school, the hotel is the best choice, because just a stone's throw away is the Happy Skischule kids' education area, where with the help of professional instructors your child will learn how to ski. A bus stops 50 metres from the "Tirolerhof" and takes you to Auffach for the ski lift to the main skiing area in five minutes.
Rooms at the hotel are rather modestly decorated, but spacious and clean. Most are designed to accommodate families with children. The food here is of good quality, with many of the products on the buffet being locally produced (there's a farm right next to the hotel). When you're not skiing, you can spend your free time in the spa area, equipped with a small pool, sauna and steam room. There is a small games room in the basement (next to the ski equipment storage room).
