The Hotel Elefant is a small and cosy hotel located in an ancient building with 700 years of history. For four generations, the hotel has been managed by the same family, providing guests with the very best service and conveying the authentic atmosphere of Salzburg. It is very well located for a stroll through the old town: a quiet pedestrian street in the centre of the Old Town, all the main attractions and shops are within walking distance.
Although there are no family rooms, you can share a superior double room with a child, with a pull-out sofa bed in addition to the king-size bed. The rooms are clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped.
The hotel offers a good breakfast in a very cosy dining room and there is a restaurant on the ground floor where you can have a nice lunch and dinner. It must be noted that the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, which makes a stay at the Hotel Elefant even more pleasant.
The only problem that tourists arriving by car may encounter is parking (the nearest public parking is a 10-minute walk away). It is also worth bearing in mind that there are restrictions on access to the pedestrian zone where the hotel is located (we recommend requesting an access code from reception before arriving, allowing you to drive in those areas where there are entry restrictions).
Overall the hotel is very pleasant, great for holidays with school age children.

The hotel is situated 4 km from the airport and 2 km from the railway station. From the train station the hotel can be reached by buses no. 3, 5 or 6. Get off at the Rathaus stop.
The hotel offers its guests 31 rooms of several categories:

Standard Double Room - Room with two single or one double bed.
Superior Double Room - Spacious room with a double bed and a seating area (sofa, armchairs, coffee table).
Smoking is not permitted in the hotel.
