Theaterhotel & Suites Wien is located in the city's 8th district, Josefstadt, which is adjacent to the central historic Inner Stadt district. It is a nice, safe neighbourhood. In the neighbourhood of the hotel, you will find the City Hall, the City Parliament, Vienna's oldest theatre "In der Josefstadt" as well as the University of Vienna.
The Ringstrasse is within walking distance. As for transport, the Rathaus underground station (U2) is 400 metres away and a 200-metre tram stop of tram no. 2 will take you into the city centre within minutes. If you want to walk to St Stephen's Cathedral, it takes about 20 minutes.
The hotel is not new, but very clean and comfortable, with excellent service and an interesting theatrical layout. Nice family rooms allow accommodate a family of four. Some rooms have a kitchenette with utensils, sink and cooker (extra charge), allowing you to cook your own meals. A supermarket is located near the Theaterhotel & Suites Wien, where you can buy all the necessary groceries. Cots are available for babies and toddlers free of charge upon request.
Rooms facing Josefstadt are noisier; if you're travelling with children, it's best to book rooms facing the courtyard. Breakfast is plentiful and varied; if it's not included in the room rate, it can be ordered at an extra cost. You can also eat at the nearby cafés and restaurants, of which there are plenty nearby.
Thanks to its convenient location, comfortable family rooms with a kitchenette and excellent service, this hotel can be safely recommended to families travelling with children of all ages.
