There's no self-catering or tea-making facilities in the rooms. Instead, the Italian restaurant on the ground floor serves not only a classic European breakfast buffet, but also excellent pizza, which the chefs prepare in front of the guests. In October, the Hotel GIO Munich is the centre of the Oktoberfest and the area is teeming with establishments of all sizes and price ranges. As a result, it is not difficult to find an alternative to the hotel restaurant. Finding a comparable hotel with similar access to public transport is more difficult.
For self-guided city tours, the tram and bus stops are a stone's throw from the hotel. A short walk away is the S-Bahn, which will take you to the farthest reaches of the city.
